NEW ERA SENIORS INTERNATIONAL
THE UN-RETIREMENT PEOPLE

INTRODUCING YOU TO NEW
ERA SENIORS INT. FOUNDER
- SUESAN WALKER

Founder and Trustee NESI - Suesan Walker:
Suesan first conceived of the idea for NESI some years ago and it was formed and registered as a public benefit, not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization, originally under the name of "The Crepuscule" (meaning the twilight or dusk). Although the name was loved by a few it was not understood by the many and a survey resulted in the current very popular name of New Era Seniors International (NESI), which has all the same tax exempt qualifications.
As an owner and CEO, Suesan currently runs a consulting and grant-writing business called
Et Cetera from her new home in Clearwater, Florida where she keeps a guiding eye on NESI's progress, works with other local nonprofits and serves on the B of Dir. for Clearwater Community Volunteers.
Prior to her move to Florida, Suesan has been the driving force for obtaining grants for the Hollywood Education & Literacy Project Int. in Hollywood and remains on their Board of Directors. Additionally she is on the Advisory Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Hollywood and continues to work with a number of nonprofits in California. Suesan is also the Founder of the Glenn County Seniors Centers in North California.
Of NESI, Suesan says, "Working with the Glenn County and as a Senior Advocate, I ran into elder abuse both in and out of nursing homes as well as seniors and their families trying to work through the maze of government paperwork to get help with problems. After moving back to Los Angeles I was approached numerous times to help with difficulties that some of the senior members of our group were encountering and decided that we really needed to tackle this area. I told a couple of friends about the idea and they were right behind it and off we went. NESI has stayed strong to the original vision and the expanded Board of Directors is doing an incredible job of creating new programs and expanding membership.”
CONTINUED EXPANSION!
Expansion is still going ahead for New Era Seniors International and membership is now up to 54 and climbing. Membership in New Zealand has doubled from 2 to 4 and NESI data has been taken back to Russia, Germany, Australia and the United Kingdom. We now have a fledgling NESI Chapter forming up in Clearwater, Florida, USA, headed by Jim Ring.
Members continue to sign up on almost a daily basis and there is a membership sign-up game with prizes for those who sign up other members. Please call 310-430-8345 in the USA or email the NESI Membership Director, Sandra Baikie to find out more details.
