Standards for the 21st Century Learner in Action (working title) Second draft of a document to expand and support the new learning standards with indicators, benchmarks, model examples, and assessments. AASL members are encouraged to examine and critique this draft by October 15, 2008.

National Educational Technology Standards
The National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) Project is an ongoing initiative of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). The NETS Project will work to define standards for students, integrating curriculum technology, technology support, and standards for student assessment and evaluation of technology use.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Literacy
The National ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Literacy Policy Council was formed in October 2006 to provide leadership in creating national standards for ICT Literacy. The Council will review current ICT literacy and information literacy assessments and standards documents, determine the number of assessment levels, name those levels (such as advanced proficiency, acceptable proficiency and minimal proficiency) and provide descriptions for each level.
North American Council for Online Learning (NACOL)
On September 12, 2007, the North American Council for Online Learning (NACOL) endorsed the National Standards of Quality for Online Courses. The standards selected are based on the results of a research review and survey of online course quality criteria. These quality standards were evaluated and assembled into an easy to use document for evaluating online courses with common benchmarks.

- Eau Claire School District: "This is an integrated curriculum based on the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Information Technology Literacy, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. It includes examples of learning activities that provide students with opportunities to meet the standards, rather than a prescribed curriculum. It is designed to be delivered by teachers in collaboration with library media specialists. Early in the school year, media specialists will collaborate with the teachers to map the curriculum."

- Sheboygan Area School District: EC-12 Library Media Standards and Benchmarks: Grade by grade standards with specific benchmarks for standards B,C and D.
- Green Bay Public School District: Standards and Benchmarks: Computer literacy and library media center standards and benchmarks.
- Appleton Area School District : Media and Technology: Standard with grade level benchmarks.
Standards-Based Lesson Plans
Madison Metropolitan School District-Linking Technology and Literacy: The development of the Linking Technology & Literacy lessons is a collaborative effort whose goal is to provide a collection of quality ideas focusing on technology and language arts integration at the elementary level. Connections to language arts and technology standards are a part of each lesson.
Curriculum Resource Center. Lesson plans, classroom activities, instructional television programs, etc. aligned to Wisconsin's model academic standards.
